
FISHING FOR DOLLARS TOURNAMENT
Official Rules and Regulations
Set forth below are the Official Rules and Regulations (Contest Rules) for the Onondaga Lake, Fishing for
Dollars Tournament (the Contest) presented by The Results Group (Contest Presenter). The Contest Rules
includes other rules incorporated by reference. See Section below. The award of any prize in the contest is
conditioned on, and subject to, strict compliance with Contest Rules and New York State Fish and Game
Laws.
1. Contest Period. The Contest Period will begin at 7:00am EDT on Saturday August 1, 2009 and
end at 2:59pm EDT August 1, 2009. No prizes will be awarded to any contestant presenting a fish
for prizes that has been caught other than during the Contest Period. All entries must be presented
during the Dash for Cash time periods of 9:00am through 2:59pm and if not presented during these
time periods, will not be determined a Prize winner. The Contest Presenter has no obligation to
extend or reschedule the Contest due to inclement weather or for any other reason.
2. Eligibility. To be eligible to participate in the Contest and win a prize, contestants must meet the
requirements for participation in the Contest set forth in sections below and elsewhere in the
Contest Rules. The following persons (as well as members of their family or persons living in the
same household) are ineligible to participate in the Contest or to win any prize awarded in the
Contest:; Employees, shareholders, directors, officers, successors and assigns of the Contest
Presenter or any of their parents, subsidiaries or affiliates. All children (15) fifteen and under and
entered to compete must be accompanied by an adult.
3. Strict Observance of Rules. All fish to be presented for prize eligibility must be caught in
accordance with all State, Federal and local, codes, rules and regulations. Live bait fishing will be
allowed. The Contest Presenter will have no obligation to award prizes to any contestant who does
not strictly comply in all respects with the Contest Rules. The Contest Presenter reserves the right
to disqualify any contestant who violates the spirit or letter of the Contest or whose conduct impairs,
damages, or could potentially impair or damage, the reputation or public image of the Contest or
the Presenter
4. Tickets/ Registration. To participate in the Contest, payment of a non-refundable $50.00 ticket
fee must accompany a Registration form. Ticket sales will cease at the beginning of the Contest
(7:00am EDT August 1, 2009) and or when all tickets are sold, if earlier. At the time of purchase, all
contestants must accurately and completely fill out and submit with their registration fee, an official
ticket registration prior to participating in the Contest. Tickets may be purchased by completing and
mailing the ticket registration stub or submitting it during business hours at the Contest Presenter’s
office - The Results Group, 1201 E Fayette St., Suite 36, Syracuse, NY, 13210, and Ph. (315) 426-
8741. Tickets will also be sold by completing the ticket registration stub at various ticket outlets
(Contest Registration Centers) chosen by the Contest Presenter. The location and normal business
hours of Contest Registrations Centers may vary and may change without notice at the discretion
of the Contest Presenter. Only one (1) ticket is permitted per contestant during the entire Contest
Period. This means that if an individual purchases multiple tickets and distribute tickets to other
person(s) that such other person must be properly identified on the ticket registration form to be
eligible as a contestant. This also means that a person may not purchase multiple tickets for him or
herself and thereby claim multiple prizes. Once purchased, tickets are non transferable and non
refundable. Prizes, once awarded, are not assignable and are not exchangeable for an alternate
prize. A list of winners and the prizes awarded will be posted on the internet at
www.showswithresults.com or may be obtained at The Results Group, 1201 E. Fayette St.,
Syracuse, NY 13210, Ph. (315) 426-8741.
5 . Prize Winners. A contestant may win only one First Place cash award but may win any number of
2nd through 10th place cash prize awards. Should a First Place contestant enter the biggest Bass in
another contest period that person or persons will be given recognition at the awards presentation,
but the first place Cash Prize Award will start with the next contestant. A contestant may be required
to complete a “Winner’s Affidavit and Release” confirming the contestant’s compliance with Contest
Rules. Prize awards maybe subject to the conduct of an investigation, and or a polygraph / voice
stress examination. All winners must agree to take (regardless of issues) and pass, a polygraph /
voice stress in a conclusive manor, failure of any of these will result in the disqualification of the
winner. Refusal of a contestant to take any of these examinations will also result in disqualification.
The taking (including signing of the waiver of polygraph liability) is at the sole expense of the Contest
Presenter and is necessary for proving the claim. This polygraph examination can or will take place
within (30) thirty days of the end of the Contest.Each winner is responsible for paying any and all
taxes on the prize won as may be required by law.
6. PRIZE LIST.
Largest Bass by weight and time of entry caught by a registered Contestant and entered during
the Contest Periods.
Ten DASH for CASH Prize Winners each time period as follows;
1st Place $1,000.00, 2nd Place $850.00, 3rd Place $700.00, 4th Place $650.00, 5th
Place $550.00, 6th Place $450.00, 7th Place $375.00, 8th Place $225.00, 9th Place
$125.00, 10th Place $75.00
CASH AWARDS $30,000.00
$5000.00 per Hour during the Dash for Cash Time Periods
1st Dash for Cash Entry Period 9:00am - 9:59am
2nd Dash for Cash Entry Period 10:00am -10:59am
3rd Dash for Cash Entry Period 11:00am - 11:59am
4th Dash for Cash Entry Period 12:00pm -12:59pm
5th Dash for Cash Entry Period 1:00pm - 1:59pm
6th Dash for Cash Entry Period 2:00pm - 2:59pm
7. Ties. In the case of a tie in weight with any of the top ten bass caught during any of the
DASH for CASH Entry Periods, the positions of the winners will be determined by time of entry on the
Registrants receipt presented to them at the Weigh Station.
8. Presentation. To be eligible for a prize, Bass must be presented ALIVE, in accordance with the
Contest rules, during the Contest Periods, at the Weigh Station. To determine the order in which fish
are presented, contestants must take their Bass directly to the Weigh Station. All fish to be judged for
prizes must be entered ALIVE and only at the Weigh Station during the Contest Periods. Fish
presented at the Weigh Station AFTER the Contest ends, (2:59pm) or BEFORE Contest Periods
begin, ((9:00am) WILL NOT be accepted. The Bass must be ALIVE and whole upon proper
presentation to be confirmed as an entry.
9. Assumption of Risk. Fishing at Onondaga Lake involves certain risks and hazards, including the risk
of accidental injury or death to persons or loss or damage to property resulting from inclement
weather, boating or other equipment accidents, drowning or other causes. By entering the Contest, all
contestants agree to release and hold harmless the Contest Promoter, The Results Group, the
parents, subsidiaries and affiliates of the foregoing and their respective employees, shareholders,
directors, members, managers, officers, agents and representatives from and against any claims,
demands, debts obligations, or liabilities arising from or relating to injury or death to persons or loss or
damage to property suffered or incurred during or arising out of the contestants participation in the
Contest.
10. Publicity Rights. For the purposes of New York Civil Rights Law Sections 50 and 51 and to the extent
otherwise legally required, all contestants agree that by entering the Contest, they irrevocably
authorize the Contest Presenter or its designee to use their name or likeness, in any medium, for
advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation.
11. Discretion of contest Presenter: Rule changes. Decisions made by the Contest Presenter or its
authorized representatives shall be binding and final as to all matters concerning the Contest. Anything
to the contrary notwithstanding, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Contest Presenter and
its authorized representative have the authority and discretion to interpret these Contest Rules and to
construe any uncertain or disputed term or provision herein. Contest Rules are subject to change
without notice at any time prior to the commencement of the Contest Period. Any changes will be
identified on the Contest Presenter’s website. www.showswithresults.com
12. Legal Requirements. This Contest, the participation of all contestants and the awarding of prizes shall
in all cases and for all purposes be subject to and subordinate to the requirements of applicable law.
This Contest and all obligations of the Contest Presenter shall be void to the extent prohibited by law.
13. Access. Access to Onondaga Lake (and its tributaries) is limited. Contestants are responsible
for making Their own arrangements for obtaining access to Onondaga Lake
